What we don't do
- No advertising or analytics pixels. No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn insight tag, no Google Ads remarketing.
- No session recording or heatmaps. Nobody is watching a replay of your mouse moving around.
- No third-party fonts. The typefaces on this site are served from this site, so loading a page doesn't tell anyone else you were here.
- No cookie banner, because there's nothing to consent to.
- No mailing list. Contacting us doesn't sign you up to anything.
What we do collect
If you fill in the enquiry form, we get what you typed into it — your name, business, email, phone number if you gave one, staff numbers if you picked one, and your message. We use that to reply to you and for no other purpose. We don't sell it, share it or hand it to a marketing platform.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and the pages requested. That's a normal part of running a website — it's how the thing gets served and how abuse gets blocked — and those logs are kept only briefly.
If you use the Essential Eight self-check or the Windows 10 cost tool, your answers stay in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to us, nothing is stored, and closing the tab wipes it. That's a deliberate design decision: those tools ask about your security posture, and we'd rather not be holding a list of businesses with weak controls.
How long we keep enquiries
Enquiries are retained for as long as there's a live conversation, and then as part of our ordinary business records. If you'd like yours deleted, email us and we'll do it.
Client data
This page is about the website. If you're a client, how we handle your business's data is governed by our service agreement, which covers access controls, confidentiality, where data is stored and what happens at the end of an engagement. Ask us for a copy — it's not a secret document.
Asking us about any of this
Email hello@ginko.com.au or ring 1300 650 757. Post reaches us at 71 Gipps St, Collingwood VIC 3066.
If you're not happy with how we've handled a privacy matter, tell us first and give us a chance to fix it. If that doesn't resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
